In-laws, Oat? Thanks for the concise list, Echo! I saw that Drakul guy, but I figured it wasn't our Kul...he was too tall

I made Meryla on Israphel Asmodian, as a warrior, just to try things out. I'll remake her on Lumiel but I'm still so highly torn as to which side to play. I'm leaning to you guys as you seem to be in game more I'll ponder during dinner, then go back to Aion (and hopefully have fewer dc's). Unless it's an hour queue, in which case, not 'til later this weekend.

Hmm. I dc'd out of Aion before, and just went to WoW instead. Now it claims it's launching the game ... and nothing happens. I get the blue load bar and everything, but then just sit at desktop with a launcher.
This was after it said it had an error and asked me to "repair," which I did and was told there were no patches.

Did you try the "Force launch" option? Or did it even display that?

Try shutting down the NCsoft launcher and totally restart? That's odd!

I found the answer -- I did a consistency check, accessed by right clicking Aion in my active games list in the launch window. It was like a mini-reinstall. After that I had smooth sailing all afternoon.
So Merylla is level 7 and has met Kha...something (sorry, terrible with names, but thanks so much for the armor items!) and spoken with Nakul.
I need to figure out how to separate out the various chat spams and move chat tabs around. If anyone was sending me tells, I never noticed. I also need to figure out custom emotes. /em didn't work.
And of course, I've hardly given up on WoW, so I'll be in there a lot! But I look forward to at least visiting with you guys. I don't have a story or persona for Merylla yet, and will want to try out magic classes as well. Over time, if I stick with Aion, I'll settle on a main character.

Welcome to Atraeia, Merylla! Don't feel bad if you missed anything in chat- I'm sure many of us have. I finally went to my Group tab and enabled only group & system messages to get away from all of the gold spam (done in many many tells) and general chat that scrolls conversations off the page too quickly. Works of course if you just want to talk to those grouped with you. I bet it was good Khelfaer you met, he is quite generous to his friends. We are all of us scratching our heads over the apparent lack of an open emote command, though if you go to Menu > Skills > Emotes tab you will find many icons to drag to your hotbars (which you can increase by going under Menu > Options > UI (I think).

Merylla is level 9 now! And she found or quested for a gorgeous shield. Also she has some cloth items for costuming.
I have a question on the CE items. Can you only use them for one character? Or can you constantly go in to assign them to new characters? It seems terrible if they are one-use items and you don't yet know who your main will be.

Merylla can enjoy the city of Sanctus now, and Ascend! Click on this link to see how to get all your characters the CE items.
