Tommy Shaw plays Styx's Fooling Yourself with a Cleveland High School Orchestra, 2016
You see the world through your cynical eyes You're a troubled young man I can tell You've got it all in the palm of your hand But your hand's wet with sweat and your head needs a rest
And you're fooling yourself if you don't believe it You're kidding yourself if you don't believe it

Until 1979, I was a classical music fan (with pop music like Simon & Garfunkel on the side). My senior year in high school I heard Styx's The Grand Illusion and was totally blown away. I've been a Rock fan (especially Arena & Progressive Rock) ever since- I played in a few different rock bands (bass, keyboards) and had a wonderful time playing music. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Grand_IllusionFooling Yourself is such an uplifting song it's impossible to be down listening to it. My prom theme was Come Sail Away

They've had so many good, and usually unique sounding, songs. I'm a fan of really all genres... but hard rock, reggae and classical are usually what I listen to. You name the style and there's at least a few songs I really like.

Very nice. I let it continue on, several songs like that. The American Indian chanting one brought back great memories.
