With all of the Firefly talk being brought back up, I was reminded of something I saw over the weekend. Saturday I went to the Baltimore Comic-Con. While there, I saw a Firefly booth set up. At the booth was a bunch of Browncoats. Apparently the produced a full length, fan movie for Firefly.

The movie is set to debut this weekend at Dragon-con in Atlanta. It has three people from the movie/TV show guest appearing in it, although they wouldn't tell me who. I'm guessing Whedon, some side character from the movie, and possibly one of the crew members (my money is on Fillion or Tudyk).

You can already pre-order the movie from their website. All proceeds go to a charity. And surprisingly, the movie looks as good, if not better, than ScyFy Channel movies I have seen. The acting is definitely on par with those types of movies, and the 3D is definitely as good as some that I've seen in ScyFy movies. The only thing it seems to lack for me is studio quality cameras and that grittiness that the show had.

However, given what it is, I think it's great. I have already placed my order. ;D
