Alright, I needed an alt! An Elven Mentalist fit the bill, seeing as we had no Elves (until Ardis was born later)...after first thinking of going Mentalism spec for crowd control, I went full Mana. HoTs, PoTs and DoTs are too useful, and, without AoE CC, I don't think I would have been as helpful. Light spec has a great AoE DD, but Mana has tons of utility, which is what I love. Morreion in Tir na Nog Morreion will most likely be my 'leveling' character that I'll play at will. Taranon will stay in our regular group's level range. The best of both worlds. So far, up to level 17, he is soloing well against yellow and orange mobs. It's the familiar routine- make sure your armor buff, damage shield, and power buff is up, then double-DoT the foe. Staff them down as they attack. Maybe throw a quickcast extra DoT on them if you want to avoid more damage. Heal, rest briefly, repeat. He runs painfully slow, however. Despite that, he's been in an exploring mood, scouting out new spawns for the guild. Does this place look familiar? I can't wait to get into Darkness Falls! Thanks for the Mentalism Staff of Channeling, Dotty!

Check the beasts to the far south. There is a HUGE bunch of tiny critters swarming around a few logs. If I had maps I could help more... They changed the level on those bugs, so I dont remember what lvl they used to be. Anyways, it is SUPER fun for AE dots. AEDoT the swarm, run around the field, AEDot again, run around some more... collect goodies. I'll look down there next time I get into the game and give more info...

Oh, I think I know the place- isn't it in the general area of Innis Carthaig? I remember swarms of bugs there!

Yup! It's very very good practice for kiting. Dont let them get too close, or the bugs will eat ya! I was killing 10-20 a pull, and using 2-5 spells a pull depending on the stragglers.
