Very nice!  I noticed a lot of DAoC tribute films on YouTube. Obviously quite a few people were deeply affected by their time there. |

Have you heard about the free shards that are running out there for DAOC? Wifey found one mentioned on a video comment out there in YouTube land and went looking. We are both now set up to play DAOC on a free shard called Uthgard. Before I had to go into work, I took a look and there were about 400 people on there playing. There was 570 earlier. And just because I really had no choice, I had to create a Luri Mentalist A little older, a little less hair, a bit more grey in the sideburn department... but Popo has returned to Hibernia, Uthgard |

What graphics engine does Uthgard use? I like the old classic and SI engines, but never got used to the Catacombs engine. I like playing DAoC as it used to look, crazy as that may be |

It's using the most recent revision of the client, so it's got the recent graphics in there. They have a mod download you can use that will give you the classic Icons however. The main graphics though, are the newest. I think part of the issue I had with the most recent graphics is that my characters looked different when they switched over to the new engine. Sure, the graphics are nicer, more 'modern', but I was rather fond of how I looked for all those years! Also, I like going back to a game as it was, it never seems to work when you go back and an older game has WoW-type quests and gameplay and updated looks. If I wanted to play a newer type of game, I'd...play a new game  |
