My favorite of Elethea's verses- I'm posting it here because I've asked her to post it on too many other boards I've created and surely I've bothered her enough!

Welcome me into your hearts with joy
I have come at last to warm you
and waken the earth with the tickle of my breath.
Pull aside those heavy curtains
throw open all your windows
I will refresh your stale homes with my hue of citrus.
Exchange woollens for cottons
and consign boots to dark cupboards
so that mine will be the first kiss of light on your skin.
Treasure the gifts I bring to you
the songs of greeting as you wake
and the fragile gems nestled among green blades.
Celebrate the retreating clouds
and live each day in laughter with me
I will create snapshots in the album of your mind.
Too soon my youthful life will wane
to give way for the fiercer one behind
but keep my memory safe and vital in your veins.
For there I shall never die
and when the rains grows soft
I can come back for you to love me again.
