I have a lifetime subscription to LOTRO and I occasionally play there. LOTRO spoils me. Why? A great-looking engine that runs absolutely smooth. The landscapes are beautiful. Trees and other foliage abounds, and looks pretty realistic. I like how the animals (rabbits, foxes, deer etc.) dot the land and will run from you when you get close to them. Characters look good too, nice to see realism done well. Fantastic lore. If you like Tolkien's work, you'll be impressed. The Shire is probably my favorite MMO zone of all time. Solid PvE. Overall, I'd have to say that LOTRO is close to the ultimate expression of the class/level/quest type of MMO. Now, if someone could re-do UO in 2009!

Here it is in the middle of the year, and I'm still occasionally wandering Middle Earth. I haven't been lured away by any other game yet (though I'm waiting impatiently for a new crop of releases to check them out). I enjoy my time here! Hunting in the ruins of Evendim
