Community Spotlight: Your Most Epic MMOG Boss Fight (MMORPG.com)I'd have to say the most epic boss fights for me were in Master Levels 7, 8 and 9 of DAoC's Trial of Atlantis expansion. The ML 7 boss, Typhon, took hours of trying to figure out how to kill him while dying a lot, and I almost stopped doing ML's *laughs* The raid came back another night to figure it out and we killed him. You had to get him in a certain spot and you needed an archer... I'm not a raider really, but the ML's were challenging and I'm glad I did them. And glad I didn't have to do them again and again! Legion, the DAoC Darkness Falls boss

The toughest boss I've ever played against was the one in Shrouded Isles, in that big dungeon. I can't even remember his name, but you basically needed every class, with almost every spec, in order to defeat him. He spawned multiple parts that each class had to fight. I remember we almost beat him one time, but we needed a void speced Eldritch, and at that time, it wasn't a popular spec.
But I do agree with Gack, Typhoon in ML7 was a super hard boss. With the teleporting, orb you had to keep in combat, a huge spawning area, and high damage... he was a hard boss to fight. The last boss in ML8 was super hard too. I remember the first time killing him, we fought him for three or four hows before he died. And I'm dead serious, from the first blow on him to the last, it was three or four hours long. I know Kul can attest to it. It was two or three in the morning when we finished, and we started the whole ML8 raid at like seven I think.
A lot of ML raids went for a long time back then. I remember my first ML2 and ML3 I lead took a very, very long time. ML2 went on for about twelve hours. I had a horrible headache for the last three hours or so (seriously bad migraine) and only finished out of principle. The Phoenix for ML9 was also really hard, as was ML10. Wow... come to think of it, DAoC had some super hard bosses for a freaking PvP game. I never had that much trouble out of the bosses in WoW. LOL

Oh yeah, the ML8 boss, that huge gold statue with the big sledgehammer- I was using my Warden as a healer on that raid and occasionally he would stroll over to me and hit me for about 3500 points damage lol- one-shot!

As much time as I spent doing the MLs, you would think one would stand out as a memory. But no, my best memories of MMORPG bosses was the dragon. They started out impossibly tough! I'm not sure if he got nerfed, or if we finally figured out how to kill the bugger, but I was amazed the first time we actually killed one.
Second memory was when our alliance killed the Siabra Queen. Wow, was that a battle! and the wench respawned while we were still taking pictures! hehe
