Morreion is a strong and muscular man of the Varanthari race found in northern Qalia. He has green eyes and dark hair. His homeland is semi-arid savannah surrounded by rocky mountain heights. The Varanthari are noted horsemen, seen as barbarians by the much more common Qaliathari peoples.
Morreion is a Shaman, attuned to his local gods for both the skill to wield weapons and the magical power to heal, buff, and damage others. As he advances in his profession, he will acquire greater powers.
After a few levels at his starting location, he was better-prepared to move out into the wide world.
Several quests related to horses, which the Varanthari prize highly.
After several levels, a trip to the Varanthari capital town of Lomshir was made. Though not an impressive city compared to majestic Khal, it serves the Varanthari people well.
Lomshir's crafting hall.
Exotic Kurashasa merchants in a well-decorated tent.
One quest Morreion completed was to salvage supplies from a wrecked caravan. Mordari raiders were there, looking for the same riches.
One of the cooler things about harvesting- when you chop down a tree, you literally chop down a tree. You watch it crash to the ground, which is awesome!
A good example of the far distances one can see in Vanguard- note the tower far far away. The world is truly huge. I am running the game on the highest settings and the highest textures, and the performance is good. There are far less problems running the game this time around compared to when the game was released. Of course there are less players around now.
I really enjoy the sky in Vanguard. The clouds look great, as does the night sky. Stormclouds will sometimes darken the horizon.
The entrance to the Cavern of the Green Witch, one of the many dungeons in the world of Telon.
The Gila Ruins, one of the numerous camp spawn places for creatures in northern Qalia. I spent nearly an hour running straight across the area around Varanthar, and I saw but a small portion of the continent of Qalia.
At level 10, I was able to buy my first mount for 12 and a half silver. You can get a quest to gain a slower free horse as well. I purchased the horse at Dark Horse Track.
I ended level 10 at the third outpost from my starting area. I've seen but a small corner of the continent, and much adventure awaits!
