Topic: Are these bots or what?
They are getting more "clever" as they now have new behavior programmed into them. Some of the actions that differentiated a bot and a played character are now kinda moot, like jumping and random running patterns, instead of a straight line to the mob.
They have really evolved. At release it was, "you can tell a bot by..."
not title
straight line to the mob
they don't jump or avoid obstacles
kill stealing
weren't in a legion/ no legion tag
no vowels in their name
all that coupled with their strange pattern like behavior.
Now, they are in legions (on Kaisinel, the legion Baconator is comprised of nothing but bots, lol) , have titles, some try to have "normal" names, they jump and randomly run around (although it still looks very weird and pre programmed) before they kill stuff, they avoid mobs when other people attack them, amongst other new behavior.
Not saying all are like this, just more and more are evolving. Such a shame really. I know a lot of people say, "just ignore them". I level kinda slow and am not above the curve where they are few and far between. In fact, I seem to be in the thick of them (I am now lvl 30), and they are everywhere. It is harder and harder to ignore them because it is becoming harder and harder to find mobs to grind on. It's harder to finish kill quests, etc. I guess the Abyss will be where I will eventually have to level. The levels may take longer because of ganks, but those same ganking squads will keep the bots out as well. happy
For now, my enjoyment of the game and my legion surpasses the bot issue and I am continuing with my sub, but I can completely sympathize with people who have chosen to leave because of the frustration from bots.
