The Daily Grind: And I never never never do a thing about the weather...I say yes! It seems that games often say they will have 'dynamic weather effects' but that usually turns out to be nothing more than the vague 'it's hard to see when raining'. Nice weather effects- not just rain/snow, but sandstorms, beautiful sunrises/sunsets, high winds, aurora borealis and so on- are immersive (assuming they don't lag up the place). I'd also like to see weather affect gameplay, for instance say when you are in the very hot desert you cannot run for as long when wearing armor; or in the rain, your to hit and evade rating decreases (slippery conditions). This would add spice to an otherwise static experience.

I would love to have weather effects that had an impact on the gaming world and your character. The only problem with it comes from people who don't have very good computers and can't handle the weather effects. They just turn them off, at which point you're at a disadvantage for playing with effects on. You can't see them in the fog, but they turned off their effects, so they can see you just fine.
