Way back in the early days of 2002, EA Games put out a wonderful, beautiful and fun to play Space MMO called Earth and Beyond. Then shortly thereafter, waved their ungodly hand of fate and ended the game, meanwhile keeping such tripe and drivel as Sims Online active and running. Fortunately, there was enough of an outcry that certain hard working programmers are trying very hard to recreate the Earth and Beyond experience by creating an Earth and Beyond emulator. I played this game's beta, and all the way through to the shutdown. The recent efforts have been very successful, and they're up to their 3rd Stress test and I'll be damned if I can find any variation between how this feels and the original game when it was live. They're doing good work. I will put up more screenshots as I get them (The server isn't up 100% yet, as it's still kinda in testing stages) but here's a shot of me traveling the Saturn Ringway: I know it was mentioned here earlier that perhaps Fantasy is time to be set aside for something else, and I think this is a good place to try. Earth and Beyond EmulatorIt's a bit fiddly to get it all installed, but once you do, you won't regret it

I played E&B for a while back when it was running, I might give the emulator a try! Speaking of emulators, there is a SWG pre-CU project going right now: www.swgemu.com/...and there's a Classic DAoC freeshard called Uthgard: www.uthgard-server.net/
