I'm back in LOTRO soloing around- and I'm enjoying it. Still looks good to me! The world is so well-developed, in keeping with Tolkien's works. I have a Man (race) Hunter (class), using a bow and dual-wielding melee weapons. Crafting as a Tinker (Prospector, Jeweler, Cook). At some point I'm going to roll up a Hobbit just to do the Shire- one of my favorite zones in MMO history- and the fun quests there (the drinking game, pie deliveries on a timer, etc.) LOTRO is FTP now until level 30. I'll decide what to do when I get there. Quests and storyline was always a big selling point in LOTRO- the quests are solid. I'd forgotten all of the Deeds ('kill 30 spiders in Breeland') and Titles ('Watcher Of Roads') to keep you busy. Another big draw to the game for me is the large amount of ruins scattered across the world. It gives the game real atmosphere. I'll post here occasionally as I explore Middle Earth once again.

Further return adventures in Middle Earth- OK, I just had to take my helmet off. It is better to look good than to save yourself from a ghastly head wound. Doing some quests in Staddle, a Hobbit hamlet. I really like these areas, very folksy and the houses rock. I mentioned Deeds earlier, you get experience by fulfilling all the steps of a Deed, such as killing 30 wolves in Bree-Land or finding 6 old artifacts in various ruins, such as this Dunedain statue. Bree is the biggest town you see early in the game (level 10-15 or so). It looks great! Crafting animations are cool. I'm a Prospector / Jewelcrafter, a miner making jewelry with stat bonuses. SARAH OAKHEART! NOOOOOOO! For those who don't know her, Sarah is a veeery slooooow crone who you have to escort out of a bandit cave. Actually, she wasn't as bad as I remembered, lol!
