Not sure if anyone still visits this board, and wasn't I amazed when my Global account still worked but I am no longer affiliated with any local boards (meaning they've all passed into the Digital Void).
Hey, Loendal! Enjoyed our few times smashing cars and creating havoc in APB!
Anyway, I thought I would say hey. Magnoliah/Omuley and I reminisce about DAOC from time to time, recall our travels there fondly, as well as the people we shared them with.

The early 2000s was the golden age of MMOs as far as I'm concerned. I remember you and Magnoliah well, it was a great time.

By the way, a few of us are playing on Uthgard, the German DAoC free shard. No RP in sight, however.

Something prompted me to drop by and see how this place was doing, and here I see a post from Suilebain! Well, if that isn't a blast from the past. Good to hear ya. For most of the past year I have been back in DAoC playing (mostly Alb and Hib, but all three realms) and having fun. Haven't seen any of the old gang there, but did run into a player who remembers Kul and the Roisin Dubh bunch (Drekhi I think?) Are any of you still playing Uthgard? Hope everyone is doing well. Hey Echo! I was playing Uthgard on Hib, then after getting 3 characters maxxed out of Thidranki went to Alb (on the basis of never having a level 50 Alb back in the day). I took a Theurgist to level 31 there and took a break- but haven't played for a couple months since then. I've been tempted to give Uthgard another try. Retired last year and finally have enough time to relearn the game. Having a good time. My son is going to give DAoC (Broadsword) a try, so I'll be playing with him some. Not sure if he'll take to it, but if he does he'll be a powerhouse. He just heard me talk about it so much he's going to give it a try. DAoC is not what it used to be, but it's still a match for most of the other games out there.

My acquaintance, Dreki, remembers "Kul" and the RD gang quite fondly. Says you guys ate lots of dirt together. I'll tell him that I shared a message with some of the old Nimue gang.

Congrats on retirement, Echo! You're gonna love it!
Keep an eye on this board in case we try some game in the future. I'd like to get back together with the old gang but it seems that gets harder and harder to do the more time goes by.

Retirement is going well. We were poor when I was a young child and I was in the workforce beginning at age 10. It took a little time to get used to free time; but now I am loving it. <grins> It will be pretty easy for me to carve out some time if people try to get together again.
