I have 3 characters at level 24 in Thidranki, the famous lower-level RvR battlegrounds. What a fun time! I managed to get a few screenshots (of course!)...
On my Warden, I concentrated on buffing, healing, and interrupting casters / healers. On my Mentalist, I kept group members supplied with the famous power buff as well as DoTting and nuking enemies. My Enchanter supplied runspeed, a nuking pet, and nuke nuke nuked.
I participated in one central keep capture. My Mentalist single-handedly drove off a full group of Albs who were attacking the keep with his AoE DoT, killing 2 of them.
After 125 Realm Points- gained by killing enemies- I bought my first Realm Ability, Mystic Crystal Lore I, which every 5 minutes allows you to restore 25% of your power pool- critical for casters and healers.
This game is fun.
