... done in an impressionistic art style. LOL - Sorry, but this screenshot made me laugh. At the time, I thought it looked good. But in looking back on it, I see that all Mythic did to create this loader was to take a screenshot of some place in the game, then put a mosaic filter on it in Photoshop. Bam! Done. Next? It's just weird how simple this piece was to create, and the fact that I could do it, yet it worked!

Horizons A pretty straightforward loading screen with the game's logo. Wow, I remember how revolutionary the game tried to be then...the tech wasn't quite up to snuff, unfortunately. I did like harvesting jewels there. And this is where my original Morreion character started.

Star Wars Galaxies 2004 SWG loading screens would have information about places and things to be found in the area that you were logging into. Cool stuff.

Ahhhhh... Horizons... The only place one could be a Dragon. It's Free to Play now, if you want to play a Human that is. I have many a fond memory of that loading screen and music!
I also played Anarchy Online for a while with my Ex-Wife and I still go back on occasion just to hear that eerie load screen music. The point system was very complex and overwhelming, but it was fun to take missions and go into buildings for loot and Xp.

I'd love to see old games like the ones you talked about re-made with modern graphics. Keep the mechanics the same, just give the games a face-lift. For the life of me I can't figure out why UO 2 hasn't been made!
I guess AO is supposed to get a modest graphical update one of these years, but imagine AO with GW 2 graphics!

WAR I liked WAR's use of lore on loading screens- and they had a handy tip, too.
