This is a pretty fun game. Medieval skill based combat. It takes some getting used to before you can really kill other players effectively. Blocking and Parrying is really important, and which way you are swinging your weapon. I haven't got a horse yet, but almost there. So I can't say how good the mounted fighting is. You can see me playing it a bit here: www.twitch.tv/dortmunder98/b/334354059I'll be streaming it off and on for the next couple days probably too Highly recommend this game if you're into skill based PvP.

How does it compare to Mount & Blade, dortmunder?

I never played Mount and Blade. I own it on steam but never got around to playing it. My friend says it's very similar though. Just with nicer graphics and slightly better combat. I think he said the battles are smaller scale too. Most servers are 64 players max I think, though I usually play on no more than 32, because I don't like huge zerg fights

That looked really cool. I am surprised. The combat seems a bit slow though (although you are swinging around giant claymores in what looks like some pretty heavy chainmail). I think I might try that out this weekend.

Yeah, that's one of the things I like about it. It's fairly slow paced most of the time. The big zergy fights can go pretty fast though because lots of damage is getting thrown around. But if you get 2 guys fighting eachother who both know how to play fairly well, it could go for a while. Or until someone comes and makes it a 2v1 You can see me using a shield when I end up vs more than 1 person often, basically trying to hold them off until I get backup. Apparently 2h with lighter armor is better than what I have been doing, which is running around in heavy armor, so it's hard to get around quickly. The ranged combat is pretty fun too. Playing alone can be a lot less fun than playing with a friend or two though. I find when I don't have a friend to play with I won't play long. But with someone I can lose track of time and play for really long.

Is this F2P or something? Is there a demo version if it's not?

I don't there's a demo, no.
It's $30 on Steam. Was 20% off if you owned Mount and Blade, but I think that was pre-order only.
