Planetside Tower Battles, 2004

Towers were small facilities surrounding the big bases in Planetside that you could take over for your side. Once you got inside a tower and fought your way up & down the stairs, it was a bloodbath. Defenders would have heavy weapons, rockets and miniguns to chew up attackers (check out all of the bullet holes in the walls). It was fun as heck!

Note: the backpacks on the ground are 'tombstones' where players have died.

I really enjoyed Planetside for the time I played it. I was never very good (FPS's in general don't work well with me) but it was entertaining. As I tried to go back to it within the last year or so it was like a ghost town. Nothing around anywhere, and nobody there. I remember huge fights that stretched all over the land surrounding the cities (Facilities?)

Planetside 2 is due out this year! It'll be F2P, we'll have to see how it goes, but it'll be worth checking out!
