Just thought I'd see what people are currently playing, and what games people are looking forward to playing soon! I'm now playing LOTRO (mainly solo & part-time with a lifetime subscription), I have consistently enjoyed playing this game. I'm looking forward to trying a few games coming out this year (hopefully) or next- The Agency (contemporary setting spy/merc game) Gatheryn (free-to-play steampunk social/puzzle game) Fallen Earth or Earthrise (both post-apocalyptic contemporary/sci-fi) Global Agenda or All Points Bulletin (sci-fi / near contemporary FPS MMOs) Aion (fantasy MMO, yet again) Star Wars the Old Republic (OK, this is a ways off yet but looks interesting! I liked the first year of SWG...) And....the wild card game....Life. Whenever it releases. That one looks unique, and we need more of that in MMO-land. I'm largely looking for a non-traditional (read non-fantasy) MMO for a change. Aion will have to be really good to get me on board, because, well, I've done fantasy to death. I'm ready for something different! See the links for these games in this thread if interested

I've just started to play LOTRO again (the come back for free memorial weekend thing and I'm hooked) . Still playing DDO too, but I think I'll give in and start paying LOTRO after tomorrow as well, it's my favorite since DAoC.

Wow, looking at that list of mine from a year ago shows the fickleness of the 'new game' predictions...Gatheryn folded before release, Aion didn't work out, Global Agenda was OK but its a shooter, Fallen Earth was unique but didn't click, Earthrise delayed...
Right now I'm playing LOTRO and AoC. Still looking forward to Earthrise, also will try out Dawntide.
Elethea, there is a 4-person group playing in LOTRO on Thursday nights from 7-9 PM Eastern, you're welcome to join! We surely could use a Hunter! We are levels 30-32 right now just in case you're interested!

We may have to catch up to you! ;D We've found that having up to a 5-level difference between the highest and lowest level character has worked out well in the past, but look for the guild Far Journeys on Landroval Thursday night from 7-9 (our usual play time): Thombor the Dwarf Guardian (Grigorian) Buddelia the Hobbit Minstrel (Ariesel) Bedregar the Human Captain (Cirig) Aldarion the Elf Lore-Master (Morreion) We are doing all the epic book quests as we level up, we are currently in the middle of book 3 in the North Downs. The emphasis is on roleplaying! It will take us a long time to finish this project, but we are in no hurry
