I know, these screenshots are absurdly small- at first, I was playing on an absolutely basic PC with onboard video (no card!), so I think that had something to so with it. I'm not sure I knew how to take screenshots for a while, these were GIF files...this must have been from around October/November 2001, I'll guess. This was my first character to make it over level 20- I rolled up on Albion Percival (RP server), Kirth the Cleric (back to camera in gray robe). At the time, he was in his early teens I think. He's in Camelot with a group at the guild registrar forming a guild (Arthurian Knights of Camelot). The guy in the spiffy deep blue plate armor was our guild leader- being low level, I was poor and quite impressed that he could afford the rich dye color at the time. Leonardo, our guild leader. He was from Sweden if I remember right, and spoke (typed) good English. We'd have guild meetings in the church in Camelot, full of ritual pomp! We'd line up and Leonardo would walk slowly in past us and address us. It was really cool, very much in the RP tradition. The guild would go out on the frontier for RvR, and young members were welcome (though not tremendously effective). Good times! I left the guild after finding out that Leonardo was a cross-realmer- he had a Midgard character. This meant that he could disclose to an enemy realm what the plans were for RvR raids. This was very frowned upon at least- I can't remember if it was a violation of the ToS...anyway, I founded my own guild after leaving- I think a few AKoC people came with me. Memories!

haha so tiny!
I remember when I first installed SI, it set my screen resolution to something really low. It reminded me of watching people play EQ1 in lan cafes in 1999!
