One of the things I really liked about Vanguard was what a huge world Telon was. 2 large continents and an archipelago to explore- and the best thing about this was, it took time. I like spending weeks and months exploring, seeing new sights. Virtual worlds are meant to spend time in- the more there is to see, the better. This was my Druid journeying from his Varanjar homeland in eastern Thestra to the town of Tursh in the west. In my mind, the journey is the thing, and the destination is an excuse to travel there. Along one stretch of road on Thestra was a place where halfling bandits would ambush you. Nice touch! Bonus features included the long-distance views you could see in this game, and the trees slightly waving in the breeze.
