A happy 2011 to everyone! I'm wondering if there is any interest in me paying to take the ads off of this board for a year. Since I use a browser where ads are blocked, I really don't know what the impact of them are. I've been thinking about doing this, it's a bit of money but if there is significant demand for this idea, I'll give it a try. Feedback is appreciated!

Depends upon the "bit of money". If it's more than say, the cost of a nice dinner... I wouldn't do it personally.

Ads don't bother me, I'm programed to ignore them.

If you mean the banner ad above the board, doesn't bother me a bit, so save your money

It's the price of a really nice dinner, Kul! If it's only a banner ad at the top of the page, that's entirely reasonable- I was worried there were other more intrusive types of things going on. Thanks for the feedback everyone- unless some folks post after this really wanting to get rid of them, I'll let it slide then!

Sometimes the adds are there for me, sometimes not. I'm not sure why. Like right now, there is no ad at the top (which there usually is), but there is one at the bottom. As far as do I mind or not? I always overlook them.
However, there is one ad you get on your website that annoys the crap out of me. It's set to when someone mouses over it, to expand full browser. I always manage to mouse over it when navigating the site. It even happens when I'm on a separate tab. It's frustrating as crap, but I wouldn't ask you to spend your money to get rid of just one ad. I can always refresh the page to get a different one.
