Summoners War: Sky Arena, or simply Summmoners War, is a 3D RPG mobile game developed and published by Com2uS. It was released worldwide on both the iOS and Android platforms on June 12, 2014. It is currently available in 14 different languages, including English and most European and Asian languages.
The game is set in a fictional fantasy world inhabited by various kinds of monsters, and a group of humans known as Summoners who control these monsters to battle against one another, sometimes in sanctioned arena matches and other times for power and control. The gameplay focuses on the collection of these various monsters, with the object being to level and grow them in order to compete against other players, and complete various PvE challenges
Monsters are the main creatures used by players in the game to battle in the arena, story areas, and dungeons. Each monster is divided into various grades based on its star rating, or the number of stars it possesses, and star color. Sacrificing monsters of the same star rating allows monsters to evolve, increasing their strength. All monsters come in the five different elemental variations or attributes of water, fire, wind, light, and dark. Additionally, monsters come in various types based on their role in battle (attack, defense, support, HP, and material).
The main story of Summoners War consists of thirteen different areas, with each consisting of seven stages. To complete an area and advance to the next, players must clear all seven stages of an area, which includes a boss stage. Additionally, each stage is divided into three difficulties: Normal, Hard, and Hell. To advance to higher difficulties, players must finish all stages on one difficulty. This means that all Normal difficulty stages must be finished to advance to Hard and so on. Only normal difficulty is required to advance to the next area.
Clearing a stage awards the players with various rewards, such as experience, Runes, and Monsters. The higher the difficulty of completion, the higher the rewards.
The arena is a Player versus player (PVP) competition area where players will use their monsters to battle against other players. Battles are one-on-one, with each player allowed up to four monsters in battle. Winning battles will award players with experience, mana stones, and occasionally crystals. Additionally, Victory Points and Glory Points are awarded to winning battles.
Victory Points are used to determine weekly rankings, with prizes given out based on how high a player ranks. Glory Points act as a form of currency, and is used to purchase items from the Glory Shop.

I've been meaning to post this for a while, but haven't gotten around to it. This is a really fun game I've been playing on my phone for a couple of months now. I kind of liken it to the battle portions of Final Fantasy. You basically take some monsters, go out and level them up to a certain point, rune them (kind of like materia in FF), then battle other players, while leveling yourself up and doing quests along the way. There are secret dungeons to find, daily quests to do, n00bs to crush.... I tried it on a whim based off of a recommendation by another friend. I quickly became addicted to it.
It's a time-based/pay-for-stuff game. I haven't bought anything in the game yet. I've heard you can get really good monsters and power-ups if you throw down some cash (chances of getting any monster, no matter how good, is always random). You have a set amount of energy to use and it slowly regenerates over time. You can increase the max amount of energy you can hold and how fast it regenerates as you progress through the game. You can XP you monsters up in level or feed them to others to power up faster (and power up skills). It's a pretty intricate game once you get going.
There's also PvP (sorta) battles. It's called the Arena. You set up some monsters as your defense and people randomly attack you. If they beat you, they get some points. If your defense holds up, you get points. You can also go on the offensive and attack people. You get so many attacks at a time, which again slowly regenerate. For later levels, there are even guilds and guild battles to participate in (you never actually fight anyone in real-time, unfortunately).
If anyone wants to play and add me as a friend, I'm Regolyth. You can use friend's "rep" monsters once a day to help you in non-PvP battles. I've got several really good monsters, so you'd be good from the beginning. Let me know here if you want to add me though, because you're limited to 50 friends and I'll have to boot someone to add you. Which is fine, I only have two people in my list that I'm actually friends with. The rest are just for social points (another mini-game mechanic to have fun with).
