Epic armor was end-game armor back in classic DAoC- it looked fancy and had good stats (before spellcrafting came in and changed everything) and obtaining it was a right of passage for those at level 50. It required a group of players to get it- be social or you didn't get far in certain undertakings back then.
Oeli and Tebias of Crai Aisling were Oeli and Serat in HZ- good folks. They helped me on a preliminary step in my epic quest. Yes, I had to dance with a capricious leprechaun- before I killed him!
Buffing up and getting ready to do the last step of the final epic quest leading to getting the epic armor. Mabh was an old friend and ex-guildmate who helped organize things, Xieng was another old friend and a real cut-up. Kriss was a notable RPer on the server, and was a future guildmate in WoW by the name of Sithrade- great RPer. All sorts of memories here!
Dolores and Vashti were ex-guildmates as well, and Crinalid was a great guy helping out here. It wasn't uncommon back in the day for people to go out of their way for others in the community.
This monster is Greenmaw, a fiend in the Cursed FOrest that I had to vanquish to complete my epic questline. It was challenging- when you slew it, it would respawn and divide into multiple smaller versions of itself- groups had to be careful taking it down.
Victory!

A namesake and another old friend, Tristez, stop by to cheer my accomplishment.
