Storyboard: Finding what I'm looking for (Massively)Eliot breaks down what he'd like to see in games into 3 categories: customized looks, housing, and character tools. Being able to look unique in an MMO is not only an RP thing- lots of people like to express their individuality with in-depth character creation and having lots of different clothes and armor available. Being able to dye pieces of apparel is a big plus as well- UO and DAoC let you do this, why this isnt a standard feature these days I'll never understand. I'm a big fan of housing, but of course it takes a lot of work for the devs. I happen to prefer in-world housing placement like UO and SWG but that's just me Instanced housing like EQ2 has is relatively easy to do and should at least be an option. Tools such as extensive easy-to-access emotes and actually sitting in chairs are too often overlooked. I liked WoW allowing you to click on a chair and you sat in it. The fact that some recent games have released without even the ability to sit on the ground is discouraging. Designated RP servers are going the way of the dinosaur, but I would appreciate having games designate a server as RP-recommended so that everyone knows where to go who are interested in that, even with no different ruleset at all.

I love fluff. Fluff makes the world so much more immersive. It's the little details in the game, and WoW was great at this, that make the game more enjoyable.
