I've been having all kinds of weird problems.
Buff icons staying on "fading", or not being displayed at all!
I've got 14 specialization points, and it doesn't appear to let me use them. Every time I try to move the slider, the "Train" button greys out and the Level requirement goes straight to 51.
I don't get it.

I haven't seen these issues- you have a training slider? When I'm at the trainer, I click on what spec category I want to train, and then click on a Train button.
I downloaded the classic icon patch, I have no idea if that has anything to do with this (I see original icons now, not the later ones). The only other patch I have is the classic patch, giving access to old frontiers.
I wonder...this might have to do with what version of DAoC you have, Kul? I have no idea what version I have, though I DLed it right from Mythic's site days ago. I wonder if there's a different version or a different update...

Your right, it might have a different version. I got the one after you (by like 2 days) and had that logging in issue until they had a server reboot to fix it.
*sigh*
PS: I have the same two patches (classic icon and classic daoc).

I bet that's it- maybe they updated the game right then. I still have the 'old' system I guess.
Perhaps they're working on it, I saw a login message saying something like that yesterday.

I prefer to beat the rush and be incredibly grumpy Keen right now!  I guess I'll sit on level 5 for a while. It's hard to hunt when your damage is so inconsistent. I have trouble (at times) killing greens. |

Yikes! Some grouping with the keen is in order! You'll soak up some advancement then!
I should roll up some kind of alt that's helpful for leveling. Maybe a Druid or Bard!

I do not have the classic icon patch, and I am afflicted by the no training thing as well. Although it was working fine Thursday night when I got in, Friday's update to DAoC portal broke something! Hopefully they will fix it soon!
