Our Thursday nights 7 PM group is off to a flying start!
I'd like our leader Grig to say a few words about our objectives for Thursday nights, what our goals are (for those of us new to the game) and what it would be good to do during the week between our group hunts. How much should we level or quest in between Thursdays? What would be good to do to prepare for each play session? What shouldn't we do?
I know not everyone can play a lot, and I'm fine with that. I'd like to take it nice and easy and smell the roses.
Feedback from anyone is appreciated!

First off, I am *so* sorry about last night - the power went out, and didn't come back on for another hour and a half. I hope you guys carried on and had fun! Did we finish our quest? Bedregar had already had the prelude (prologue?) completed, and was ready to start in on Book one. Cirig

To begin with I had a BLAST Thurs!
So here are my ideas
Goals for Thursday Night: My thoughts on our Thursday Nights are two fold.
First get any quests done that team members would like to do. There are so many quests and we will all quickly level beyond alot of really fun content if we don't actively choose to do those quests. As we level the number of group quests increase and I think that our "group" time should be used for those quests. I would like to do these quests even if we are beyond their level.
Second one of the core aspects of the game are the books. These, as everyone has seen, are full of story and can take a lot of time. For me these are some of the most rewarding content in the game. Many of the chapters require a full group. So I think that we should try to do the books when they are within our level.
On NON-Group Days: Pretty much should be open the only thing that I think we need to agree on is that we keep within 5 levels of each other. LoTRO allows anyone to group with anyone but the experience of MOB kills are dictated by the highest level in the group. So if the level spread gets too great people will start to get little experience. More importantly when Mobs go grey they start missing a LOT and you start never missing so some of the challenge begins to go away.
I would like to suggest that we have a MAX level. Since I, Ari, and Morrieon have all done the books we are about to do, I don't think we need to require people NOT jump ahead on the books as long as everyone understands that the group may do those chapters again.
I also suggest that people explore and find quests that might be fun for the group to do. This is particularly true when we complete a book and need to level to the next level for the next book.
Since people have different quantities of time to play I would like to try and keep the max level within 5 season of the lowest aged member, and also not more than 5 levels above the minium max level of that book. So we aren't doing Volume 1 book 2 with somone level 26 or beyond that would make the book have no real challenge.
So until the next time we play which will be 12/3/09 (Next thursday is the REAL thanksgiving day - Looks at Cirig) I would suggest that everyone stay 18 and under. (Paradis is 13 and the Book Min Level is From 11-16 so our top would be 21)
If you miss a group event, try and do the content that was done while you were unavailable, but we will also help to get you caught up.
Just my thoughts, if anyone has other ideas/suggestion/opinions please post them and lets discuss.
Grig

I think having your turkey day on a Thursday is just crazy talk. Whilst you enjoy your birds, I will get caught up (chapter wise) with the rest of you, and work on some crafting. Send me your leather! (please ) Cirig

I'll try to get a level or two and narrow the gap a bit.
