Got to Level 12 very late last night and then couldn't raise any companions to help with the fellowship quests. Well I did find one person to group with, but he/she proceeded to run right into the middle of a Blackwold campfire, got about 6 of them stirred up, and got killed. If I hadn't been a Hunter and if I didn't have the bow that Grigorian (big thanks) sent me...I would not have made it out of there alive.
I'm covered up at work for the next two days, so it will be very close to the wire getting the prologue completed. But I will try.
I am, however, really enjoying myself. I think I'm missing a bit of content and some of the joy of exploration in trying to push so hard to level 15...but I imagine I can do all that later.

We can always get anyone through the Prologue this Thursday night as a group- no worries!
Actually, to be honest, I'd like to take this gameplay nice and slow. I don't care if it takes a year to get to 50. We are all playing together to have fun, RP, and to assist each other in leveling.
To me, it makes more sense to simply play weekly without having to rush around and do a lot of preparatory leveling, some of which you need to group to do (and there might not be other members around).

I also think that weekly play is the best way. I figured that if I get caught up in LOTRO (because I'm more or less new) and want to play more, I could use another character, or do some crafting, or some such thing.

I am in NO rush and was actually getting annoyed that I kept leveling while doing the prologue I'm just looking forward to playing with all of you, doing whatever comes up! It helps having other characters, even dupes, to play in the interim. Once this fellowship sets out, the nasties of Middle Earth are not going to know what hit them! ;D

I'll be questing in Staddle tonight, should anyone need a hand. You can solo the Combe prologue quests, but they're quite difficult. I had to do a second go at the one in the Brigand camp (Dagger Jack, or something?).

You know if people still need to do parts of the prologue then we can do those Thursday night. I wouldn't worry about getting the Prologue done. I know everyone will be happy to do what ever anyone needs to do. Doing the prologue was a suggestion only because each race is in a completely different area but in no way was it required.
Again if I can be of any help to anyone at anytime just let me know.

I had to do a second go at the one in the Brigand camp (Dagger Jack, or something?). Yeah, it got too late for me to give Dagger Jack a good go the other night. I'll give it a shot next chance I get. Work travel tonight and home a bit late tomorrow...so that's really what's holding me up more than Dagger Jack. Just gonna sit back and relax and enjoy this whole ride, though when battle comes in earnest, I am usually the kind that "snaps to" and gets focused. I'm trusting all of you vets to teach me the nuances of group play in LOTRO.

I'll tell you one great thing about this game- the questing builds up slowly into the storyline, and when you do the book quests and you advance along, you get some wonderful tales told during those instanced quests. At the end of Book 13- what great storytelling! I went and got a lifetime subscription to the game after that epic story last year.

I am doing the best I can, but struggling a little getting Taraneth to the expected level by Thursday. Only because this is a busy week for me and I can't/don't game every night any more. And I got a late start as the years of patches took a long time for me to download. Morreion has been helping me navigate and hunt when I've been able to get in a couple of times this week. So, just advising everyone that I may not be through the prologue by our Thursday session. Just hit 10 last night before bed.

Jaema - No worries really. We will help you and anyone else for that matter complete what still needs to be done. @echo - One of the coolest things about grouping in LoTRO is the wheel. When a member in the group lands a critical blow there is a chance that it will open a group opportunity. Burglars can set them off with special skills as well. A wheel will be displayed with 4 choices, Damage (Red-R), Damage Over Time (Yellow - Y), Heal Moral (Blue -B), Heal Power (Green - G). Each member makes a choice within a short time span and that combination may do something special or it may not. You find certain combinations do certain cool things. For instance RRRRRB - Causes a ghost to appear and protect your healer for several minutes. Stoked for tomorrow. See everyone then! I will be on as several different people tonight, but I will try to be in the chat channel. Let me know if anyone needs help with anything. Grig
