Leaving Aion for now

One of the other things that troubles me about the bot issue. Everything I have read says they get worse at higher levels. Worse! So ... you mean to tell me ... I need to toil and slave fighting mobs and bots and finally struggle my way to 30 (at which point I still can't PvP without getting ganked in Abyss) and then when I get to 30 I find there are *gasp* even more bots!

My current subscription expires Nov. 28 and I doubt I will be around after that. Heck, I may give that "Free Warhammer" download a try and just run T-1 scenarios over and over and over.

I'm afraid I may not either. I still enjoy all aspects of the game itself... but earlier I saw, and I do NOT exaggerate, a dozen bots in a canyon area. 5 in a single group.

November 28 seems a reasonable deadline for seeing some significant progress on the current issues (although I must also say that the first time I get saddled with a captcha may do me in). What I really want to see is some SUBSTANTIAL improvement in the bot issue by this coming weekend. If that happens, I still won't be totally content, but I will feel better about continuing.

As I said before, I'll stay with Aion as long the nucleus of our group wants to continue. But, unless I am totally misreading things, that nucleus may be growing smaller by the day.

And something that Ari implied has really stayed with me...to continue past a certain point is in some way to condone the serious shortcomings of this game, lessening the chance that they will be corrected.

Not that this was a stretch but I too will be canceling my account on AION. I am just not interested in investing in a company that actually condones bots.
