The List: Five Scariest MMO Launches*laughs* I remember DnL! The first total MMO farce I saw first hand! AO was indeed the gold standard of bad MMO launches, I remember June 2001 well. I liked the game after they ironed out the 'moving at 1 frame per 5 seconds in cities' problem, which took a month Truly a revolutionary game at the time, but let's just say that most PCs weren't ready for the revolution.

Some of that is just absurd. Who in the world would limit the number of games you'd sell? That's just throwing away money. And who doesn't have enough servers to sustain their pre-order subscribers? Well, I guess the answer to that question is NCSoft.
