Valheim is an upcoming survival and sandbox video game by the Swedish developer Iron Gate Studio. It takes place in a world where slain Vikings go to prove themselves fit for the halls of Valhalla. As one such, the player begins with nothing and soon discovers that to reach the Norse afterlife, they must defeat the evils that stalk Valheim. Led only by their instincts and occasional hints from a raven, the player must prepare to fight the sworn enemies of Odin himself.

Here is a few images of my home. The view from the front. There's my house, along with my windmill, blast furnace, kiln, forge workbench, all surrounded by the Great Wall of Kul (tm pending).





From the back you can see my small garden (with turnips and carrots), surrounded by a fence and bee hives. On the right is my line of portals. My watch tower is in the distance, back on the left.




If I turn around from viewing the back of my keep, you'll see my large wolf pen and the protective outer border wall from the small critters.




The aforementioned watchtower on the river bank.




Finally an ancient ritual stone circle I found on the very dangerous Plains.

OK, this looks sort of cool. How's the development going in your humble opinion? Any release date yet?

I think it's going very well. They're a very small group (or at least were) and very honest about everything. No release date, but their first major update "Hearth and Home" is coming on September 18th. Arie, or Bez and I play it fairly often. Well, Bez not as much lately with a new job.
