Here is the house I crafted in Fallout 76. Took a few days and it's still not done, but it keeps the rain off me. Each quadrant is a separate item, as well as each component.
These are each a different crafting station (weapon, armor, ammunition, cooking). The lights can all be turned on and off and shutters open and closed.
And starting on the left is a communication portal, chemical crafting station, a poster, bookshelf, another light, poster and my bed. There's my stash box (vault) and finally me! There are often DOZENS of options for any component (like lighting, paintings or posters). So many decisions.

Well, I really like it. There's LOTS of crafting, pretty big map, quests all over, and of course your base camp. So much variety and diversity in everything. I've not seen two people look the same yet. You can really modify everything about you (Jaema would love it!). Also it's fairly realistic, such as injuries, radiation sickness, disease possibilities, etc... and you have to eat and drink fairly often, and even sleep and relax (you can get bonuses). There's are LOTS of food and drink varieties, including alcohol (beer, wine, vodka, you name it). Crafting: You need plans to craft. You get a few basic ones in the beginning. You can get some automatically by just finding a new item itself (mostly food), some are drops, some you can buy and some via rewards. I think it's mostly random, and based on rough level, although you can get some a few levels ahead of you. Once you have a recipe, if often upgrades as you level.. in increments of 5. So a knife recipe at level 14 will have a 5 and a 10 version. At level 15, it automatically adds a level 15 version. Then on top of all that you can get modifications. There are drops and occsionially purchases for those as well, but the best way is to salvage a similar item. So, to craft things you need ingredients listed in the plan. You can even sort by plans that you know, that you have all the components for, or everything. You can either find those items, sometimes buy the item (player and NPC vendors), or find an item that you can salvage for the item. Almost anything can be salvaged down to the basics, and most items salvage into multiple components (glass, plastic, steel, etc). Once you prep for salvage it will tell you roughly what you'll get before you do it. Even though there's quite a few base components it's all very simple! Map: Is pretty big! You can fast travel to places you've been... at a cost. The farther away, the more caps it costs. Vault 76 (your origination) and your camp are always free. It's best to place your camp a good distance from the vault to get to places cheaper across the map. There's quest instances for the big quests, but it's an open world. Quests are diverse too, you can find things or people, save places then help defend the same location (several times in some cases), and you can even start quests quite by accident by talking to a person or finding a hidden spot or item. You have a main storyline and the rest is just fun stuff! Camp: You've seen mine. Again variety and diversity. You get the basic camp starter item and a workbook of camp possibilities. Your camp is a pretty big plot that you place almost anywhere you wish (outside of quest areas and pre-built towns). You place the floors, walls, ceiling sections and items one by one. Some are purely cosmetic, but most have a purpose... even if it's just for something as simple as lighting. So your plot is for your house and anything you want outside. I have a water pump and a water purifier with two generators (for the water and the house). I also have a little campire outside and torches. At the side of my house I've made a garden with tato, watermelons, corn, carrots, mutfruit and razorgrain. That's all I've found, there's so much more. I've also added a porch recently and placed my vendor merchant. You can move your camp after you build it, but each move it costs more and more caps. Once you get it the way you want it you can save that setup, via a floorplan. You can have your camp attacked. Mostly by roving NCPs or critters. That's why I have my turrets up. They haven't failed me yet. Occasionally people may attack your camp (or you), although it's very seldom and they don't do much damage unless you fight back, it's hardly even noticeable. It's Bethesda's way to ensure PVP is mutual. Plus, you can always just go in your house. heheh. I've added the highest level of locks on my doors, only the best can pick them. Anyway, that's enough for now. If anyone has any questions about anything, post them for me.

The only real negatives I've found with the game so far is that there are NO guilds... you can team temporarily, but that's it. The other is that your account name is used for your character(s). If you have an alt, it has the SAME name! WTF?

This wasn't on my radar but your house makes me miss Landmark where I had to add crafting machines too. I have one more day of vacation tomorrow...car is full of sand, theres a mountain of laundry and no food in the fridge. Do I have time to scope this out ??

The answer will always be, "Yes." Too bad everyone missed the free trial week. But, I'll let everyone know the next time. I'm fairly confidence they'll do one again.

I wasn't able to find time to do anything but try to check out the official forums -- those were bafflingly unhelpful. Yell out when there's a free trial again. But in mid August we have classic WOW launching and I think that will be a distraction.
