WoW Classic Info

This post in the WOW Classic forum made me laugh. I had been checking for what date in mid August we can character create/reserve names and stumbled on this post.

Wow is officially coming in a month’s time, so what are you boiis doing in this time to fully prep for wow’s launch? Such as divorce, moving back in with your parents, etc?
Here is what im doing personally:

1.I have been aggressively saving over the past few months. Plan to save all the way until launch then quit my job.
2.Stocking up on cup of noddles.
3.Slowly distancing myself from my friends and family so it will seem “normal” when i drop off the grid no-contact.

Create Your Character
If you’re eager to claim your character name in WoW Classic, take note: we’ll be opening character creation on Tuesday, August 13.** Players with an active subscription or game time on their account will be able to create up to three characters per World of Warcraft account. We’ll have more information on realm names closer to launch, but rest assured—you’ll have plenty of time to figure out your plans for realm domination!

Aug 8th Stress Test

I'm with you on that. The sooner I log in, the quicker I'll overplay and burn out.

I created a new battlenet account but have no subs at the moment. I think I'll wait until around the 13th to start my sub so I can character create and name at that point and have that done with already before launch night. So I'll skip the stress test. I read in an article that Blizzard was surprised by how many wanted to beta test classic. *sigh* I guess they'll be surprised when a gazillion people try to stress test and then also try to login on the 26th. Deja vu all over again

We'll have to discuss what server to start on when they release that list. I'll ask Morreion if we should have a sticky or separate post with our battlenet names -- I think that's how we'll find each other right ?

I assume the WoW Classic board is specifically for this... and that's the logical next step!
