I went to Thidranki at level 24- I always go at the highest level I can still get into the battlegrounds.
By the way, no more buying necklaces at the pad in Druim Ligen to go there- you click on Glasny and select Battlegrounds to be instantly transported there. Also, when you die and release in the BGs, you respawn in your home keep within your battleground. Don''t forget to visit the Hastener just outside the gates for a good runspeed buff (also available at the central keep if we own it).
There was a good amount of action, grouping was easy, people got along pretty well. I fought mostly Albs but also a couple groups of Mids. My group participated in taking the CK (central keep).
what surprised me most was that I capped out of Thid in one day- after 2 play sessions. I had 955 RPs (RR1L5) when I could no longer get back in. So Thid was over with a lot faster than in classic DAoC. Sort of disappointing.
But it was still a lot of fun. My highlight was a Mid stealther ambushing me and I won a 1-on-1 with him, courtesy of my pet and a quickcast mana blast (see the last 2 images- the chatlog of the battle is posted below).
