Welcome everyone! Post here if you are going to try the Phoenix free shard, and the following info: Realm (1st & 2nd choice) Class (specific or general, such as caster, archer, stealther, support, healer, tank, DPS) Play time (preferred times) I'm fine with any realm, I've played Midgard the least and the other 2 the most but I'm flexible. I love support classes but am flexible there too, am open to caster or healer roles. I'm retired, pretty flexible on times  |

During Beta I created a Nightshade in Hibernia. I've heard there's a delay between deleting characters in one Realm to create in another, so I'm definitely leaning towards Hibernia. I know I'll make a Ranger too.

Lol, Morreion! You're so organized! Love it  I played all three realms, but honestly don't remember most of what I think I should. I know I played bards & clerics, mostly, so comfy filling that, but also open to whatever is needed (except for magic casters...very intimidated by those ). I sent out some emails about Phoenix to old DAoC players who've visited this board, maybe we'll hear from a few- would be nice!
Heard from Suilebhain, he says hello to all- he's playing Fallout 76 and having a blast.
OK, Kul wants to play Hibernia and the rest of us are flexible, let's head to Hibernia. Note: you can play all 3 Realms if you wish, there's a 12-hour delay in logging in from one Realm to another.
I'm going to have alts (big surprise lol), so it's just a question of what class will be my main. I'm willing to play a Warden again (regrowth spec this time around) if no one else wants to play that class- if you do, be my guest! If we're in need of melee, I'm open to playing a Champion. Caster-wise, unless someone else wants to play a Mentalist, I can do that. Just some ideas. If you have your heart set on a class, let us know- I'll fill in the gaps of what our group needs!
If we are REALLY into playing, we could also have an alt group, where we all get to play a totally different class than what our mains are. Just an idea...

Here's a general plan- let's create character(s) on Hibernia and post the names here, and by level 9 or 10 we should definitely meet up for a Muire's Tomb group. It looks like the exp rate will be faster than normal so we can see how things flow. Don't forget, Thidranki by level 24!

This will be where I post my characters- HiberniaCarfryd the Celtic Warden OK, I look like a pimp, hey it's all good drops lol! Planning to go 49 Nurture 42 Regrowth 10 Parry 8 Blunt Weapon. Back in the day, Gack was a Battle Warden but I never did much damage so this guy will be more for support. Elendion the Elven Enchanter Mana spec- the only way to go leveling up. Brannad the Celtic Champion Never played a Champ before- I need a sword and board guy! Rhiam the Lurikeen Mentalist The usual Mana spec- though I may fool around with Light spec too. I couldn't figure out where screenshots went, but I've got names! Hibernia for now, it's the realm I know best. Popo (Duh! Of course! 100% Mana Mentalist who's already got a bad habit of giving sparklies to every mage he sees) Egravain (Blademaster, focusing on Piercing, Dual Wielding and Parry) I will probably also go and create Eagis after I finish up here, Sword/Board Hero. My son has a few characters in there, of who's names I don't all know, but Rimadalc is his Hero who he wants to go Sword / Board with, I'm pretty sure he's going blades. For some reason though, he can't seem to equip shields that he's bought from vendors. He's just learning the ropes, so be patient if you run into him. I'm trying to make sure he knows about controlling agro well before he starts really taking strides forward. It's difficult to instruct an ADHD young man in such things, he's got the attention-span of a gnat!  |
