the selection here is execrable but I've managed to find some decent stuff in the capital. And I remember...
Talisker scotch + some old/indie game with terrible graphics. A rich, uncompromising duet! bottled hefeweizen + Killing Floor or MMO. The sociability and mindless, rhythmic exp grind suit a good beer perfectly. Pernod pastis + modded FreeSpace 2 or Silent Hunter 3. Comfort zone. Cheap dry gin & grapefruit juice + puzzle game. I don't know.

I agree on the beer and an MMO. However, I prefer a nice Merlot or Bordeaux while doing puzzle games.

Since almost all the gaming I do these days is before noon on the weekends I don't have many good pairings. I will say that whiskey and racing games are a good match.

When I played in bands I drank Seagrams & Seven. By the time I was online gaming, it was Diet Dr. Pepper

I don't drink, so I can't comment on this one. But I am drinking something while playing, it's usually tea. I drink a lot of tea.
Back when I was hardcore at gaming I drank a lot of Coca-Cola or Mountain Dew.

But I am drinking something while playing, it's usually tea. I drink a lot of tea. me too! I just got some Makinohara sencha from Ito En that's wonderful and reasonably priced. Had 5 cups yesterday and 7 the day before. Way better than Maeda En prepackaged. But now I've finished my Tieguanyin and this cheaper Fujian oolong I got is too floral & shallow.

Where do you get your imports from?
I had some great black tea when I was over in Scotland. I don't know why it tasted so good; it seemed like regular tea. Maybe it was just the vacation, setting, and taking it all in. I also had some good tea while in Korea. My wife's uncle was big on varieties of tea and shared some with me. It was really good.
