Part 2 - I like it! Getting the feel for the setting even though I've not played SWTOR.

Thanks. I find there are occasionally characters that click for me. Vraxan is one of them... a lot of fun. So I think his story needs to be told... at least for me. And I also realize after re-reading that I should get the award for most use of the word 'back' in one paragraph! If there were such an award, that is.

Great effort Sineadh; I enjoyed your story. I understand your feeling about how some characters really move us to write.
I noticed you also used your characters first person point of view which helps make the story's tone more personal I think. Morreion and I have talked about POV a few times, as I've noticed that I always write gaming character stories in first person. I think it helps change the tone a bit -- so its not so much "sci fi" or "fantasy" writing, to something more akin to the village story teller's tone perhaps.

Thanks, Jaema. Yes, it seemed to me that Vraxan was telling this story so it needed to be first person. I haven't always written that way (Sinaedh's stories, for example), and always have a little guilt, since I seem to recall English teachers in high school saying things shouldn't be written that way, but... well, it is his story, and he's sometimes a forceful guy (pun intended). So I just am letting him tell it. I wish I could be more creative sometimes, but the little Muse I have will have to suffice.

Well I feel like - writing is writing is writing. Inelegant, but I think you know what I mean. There was a time when publishers of mainstream fiction wouldn't touch fiction written in first person, period. I've noted a big swing in that and have read a lot more of that lately it seems like. Or hybrid POV that use first person and then change in the next chapter. Sometimes when I'm reading I feel like the first person gets abandoned when the author hits that wall and realizes, oh wow, I can't get into any one else's head with this POV, better suddenly shift to the omniscent narrator style

I'm TERRIBLE at keeping a consistent POV! *laughs* It keeps me from writing more! Glad to see the story developing
