If you're looking for the most pissed-off, hateful, ragequitty gaming community online, LoL is for you!
In my book, LoL is a mediocre game with great support and an awful playerbase, but something about the sheer skill and complexity of it really tickles my pleasure center. I've put in at least 100 hours after picking it back up a couple weeks ago.
What does everyone else think of it?
My sn on it is rodent odor

Hah! I just figure all F2P games have poor communities...or is that all MMOs now? Actually I've not tried LoL. I dunno, the only F2P games I've played are ones that I used to pay for before they went free (EQ2, WAR extended trial). Wait- there were a couple of Aisan F2P's too a while ago- Silk Road Online & some sailing game...Voyage Century? At one time I'd play nearly every MMO that came out. I find myself being much more selective these days. Heck, I'm not sure I'm going to try SWTOR yet- I figure it'll be fun for a little while, but I know it's not going to be a long-term game for me. I'm looking for niche games such as sandboxes these days...think I'm burned out on themeparks...I'm stuck in classic MMO expectations mindset... *confused rant trails off*

yeah LoL isn't an MMO! There's only 10 jerks in a game at a time.
Did you ever play DOTA, the warcraft 3 custom map? LoL is pretty much DOTA with UI and game mechanics smoothed out a little and some metagame stuff (matchmaking, rankings, etc).

It's quite popular and I understand the attraction. I'm a real retro kind of guy...I miss virtual worlds. I know, I know, people laugh at that kind of thing now.

32 million monthly players- the Power of Free is strong! Though I'd compare LoL more with FPS games (which also have free temporary/instanced online servers) than MMOs.

I enjoy LoL, but I usually only play with a friend or two. They have an unmatched F2P model which more companies should adopt, which is one of the reasons I've probably spent more money on LoL than any other game

I still haven't played this yet, but I'd like to. I have a lot of friends on it.
