Fallout: New Vegas (Wikipedia)
Fallout: New Vegas is a role-playing video game in the Fallout series developed by Obsidian Entertainment (many employees of which worked for Black Isle Studios on Fallout and Fallout 2). It was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in October 2010.
Fallout: New Vegas is not a direct sequel to Fallout 3. Though the game offers a similar role-playing experience to Fallout 3, no characters from Fallout 3 appear. However, the game marks the return of many elements found in previous Fallout titles, including Marcus, a super-mutant from Fallout 2, again voiced by Michael Dorn.
Fallout: New Vegas Review (IGN)
Sin City gets a post-apocalyptic makeover.
The Fallout series takes place after a nuclear war and the U.S. is desecrated, a shell of its former glory. Humanity emerges from the tragedy as selfish and power-hungry as ever. Despite the bombardment of numerous nukes, the city of Vegas managed to survive the war mostly untouched.
Rated 8.5, 'Great'.

The series' art style is also heavily influenced by a unique brand of 1950s retro-futurism that was established in the original Fallout. There are science fiction ray guns, big-finned atomic-powered cars, and of course the iconic Monopoly-style vault boy cartoon figure that's found everywhere. In Fallout: New Vegas, our lead artist, Joe Sanabria, pulled heavily from the Googie style which was very popular in the art and architecture of late 1950s Vegas.
Fallout: New Vegas Makes Millions (Kotaku)
After the warm reception Fallout 3 received a few years back, it was a no-brainer that Fallout: New Vegas would sell like crazy, and it has. More than five million units have shipped for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC, with a " heavy volume of digital downloads" rounding out what amounts to well in excess of $300 million in sales.
