World of Darkness (Wikipedia)WoD MMORPGA merger between Crowd Control Productions and White Wolf, Inc. was announced at the annual Eve Online fanfest in Reykjavík, Iceland, in November 2006. As part of the deal, it was announced that White Wolf would be adapting the Eve Online intellectual property into a RPG, and CCP explicitly stated "There will be a World of Darkness Online", referring to a MMORPG version of the game. According to news at the time, work had already begun on the WoD MMORPG and full time production was to commence within the year and launch in 4–5 years.
The game will be based on Vampire: The Masquerade and "will have a focus on player politics and social interaction." It is scheduled to launch in 2012 at the earliest.World of Darkness confirmed, based on Vampire: The Masquerade (Massively)Includes a peek at the first trailer. Speculating on World of Darkness MMORPG.com Managing Editor Jon Wood has a few thoughts about recent revelations about World of Darkness. CCP finally shed some new light on the game that they, well, weren't developing during last week's Grand Masquerade. Blogger Jachilli wrote about a panel discussion where players were allowed to make suggestions to the team about what they would and would not like to see in World of Darkness. Jon's article spends time discussing the most interesting. Check it out!Jon Wood: Reading Comprehension In his latest column for MMORPG.com, Managing Editor Jon Wood begins a discussion of reading comprehension with the Net-wide coverage of World of Darkness and the suggestion that permadeath would be included in the game. While the issue was discussed, it was discussed as a fan suggestion, not a developer inclusion in World of Darkness. Is this the first time something like this has happened? Read Jon's thoughts about the Net and the sound bite mentality. Then let us know what you think.

Nice! It's a wonder it took this long for Vampire: The Masquerade to have an MMO.

Well, the company and the LARP players that play the game are elitists for the most part and tend to look down on others. White Wolf is also the same company that tried to sue the "Underworld" movie people for IP copyright.
Plus, now is the opportune time to release a vampire game. You can go to any public library or supermarket and find a sign that says "Vampire Books: The Section Formerly known as Teen Reading"

There's a flood of Twilight-style teen titles out there now. I'm wondering how the mechanics of such a game will work ("I gotta grind out about 35 humans tonight", groaned Edward.) Politics/factions intricacies would be neat. I've always thought that generic fantasy MMOs should do more to promote player politics and guild intrigue. In UO guilds could declare war on each other.

It was pretty much a spoof on the whole Twilight, teeny-bop culture. The name of the episode was "Live Free or TwiHard." It made me laugh almost as much as the episode spoofing/hating on Criss Angel, "Criss Angel is a Douchebag."

You mean you haven't been watching Supernatural this season or last because it's been on Friday night?
